This is Pearl the Girl Squirrl. She lives out back and comes right up to the door for food. She'll even take the peanuts right from Clara's hand. Today she was obviously a little anxious.

I swear this was in Feb 2011. We don't have winter in Seattle. It's either rainy or not. Mostly rainy. And either way, you always have gray skies. So when the skies are blue, you go go find something to do. I think this is West Seattle. Alki Beach. We found shells, rocks and sticks... Clara favorite things! It was fun to get out and be reminded of where we live.

In April, we surprised my mom with a Girls Trip to Park City! Just the girls (and the kids). It was a true surprise- Mom had no idea. We had a blast and WILL do this again! We might even leave the kids home with their Dads: )

What a cutie!! I love this girl! We started her in Preschool just before Christmas 2010. She goes to Joyful Hearts at the Methodist Church just down the street. She went Tues & Thurs from 9-11:30. She LOVED it and did a great job!

Thanksgiving 2010

The day before Thanksgiving, it snowed. And snowed. And snowed. We normally don't get snow like this, so Adam and Clara had a blast! They helped shovel the neighbors' drive-ways and then played the rest of the day!

We had a great dinner with The Bennetts again this year!

It's a wonderful thing to have the Priesthood on this earth to perform such special blessings. I'm thankful for the many worthy Priesthood holders in my life. Especially my amazing husband and father to my sweet children!

Cinderella!

On Halloween day, we toughed it out in the rain for a 5k with other brave souls from our ward. Yeah, it was cold, and yeah, it was wet!!

When the doorbell would ring, she would jump down, put on her pirate hat, grab the bowl of candy and wait for Adam to open the door. She would dump handfuls of candy into their buckets and say things like 'Here you go buddy-boy!' or 'Cool costume!'

That's what she says: "I'm the big Shister" Too cute!! She really has been so patient and loving through all of this. Her little world changing overnight. We love her so much and are so proud of the big girl she's becoming. Here are some other cute things she's been doing.

One afternoon, after her 'quiet time' (really Mommy's quiet time!) I walked in to find this! Every single one of her books out and piled on her bed!

One day after lunch, before 'quiet time', she tells me, "Mom, I'm just going to lay down for just one minute, then I'll go do my quiet time." A few minutes later, I find her sound asleep on the floor. She had gotten the blanket and pillow and layed down 'for just one minute'.

Our two boys!

Little Clara has been such a great helper! She helps by getting and changing diapers, getting bibs, burpcloths, just about anything. She'll even feed them too! (for about 5 seconds!) It's been so cute to see the 'little mother' in her.

We have a little feeding station that consists of a pillow, something to prop the pillow up and extra blanket to catch the spills, bibs, burpcloths, diapers, wipes, butt paste, WHEW!! And it goes all over the house with us!

On average, these little guys would take just about an hour to finish a bottle, then with burping, and changing diapers, we were in for hour and a half feedings. Then we would have do it again in another hour and a half. It was CRAZY!!!

With all the hard work and sleepless nights, comes that first eye contact, the snuggling, and watching these sweet babies sleep.

The Amazing Help!

My mom came over when the boys were a week old. She was such big help! She took charge of Clara right from the get-go, and quickly became Clara's best buddy. They made cookies, went for walks, and played all day. Not to mention the cooking and cleaning Mom did!! And doing all of this while she wasn't feeling 100%.

I appreciated her help so much.

I don't know how we would have survived those first few weeks without her.

My mom is an amazing person! So many wonderful qualities that I want to emulate. It makes me realize as mothers what impacts we have on our daughters. I strive to be a good example for my little Clara.

Two New Babies

They're finally here! Happy and healthy!

They arrived on Sept. 02, 2010.

Big sister Clara was such a trooper through all of this!

They were so tiny! We had to 'finger feed' them with formula coming through a tube attached to our fingers. Little Brandon was first, but before we left, Aaron was eating like this also.

Expecting TWO??

We are so excited to welcome two new baby boys into our family!

Yep, TWINS!! Imagine the shock we felt when it came up on the ultrasound! Believe it or not, we are due to deliver them at 38 weeks in 10 days from now.

10 more days!!

With expecting twins, we had an ultrasound scheduled every month until 30 weeks, then every week after that. We loved seeing each image of these boys and saved every picture. These profile shots were from early on, but the best view out of them all. I love their foreheads, noses and chins. It's funny how a little image like this can be so cute!

Baby B is on the left side of my tummy and up a little higher than his brother. He was ALWAYS scrunched up and we never knew from one week to the next whether he was head up or head down. It wasn't until 32 weeks that he settled into the head down position.

Here is Baby A. He's on the right side of my tummy and sprawled WAY out! I tease that he stretches his hands down my leg and his feet up in my ribs at the same time. He has been a mover since the first day I could feel them move. Much more active than his brother.

I wonder if this will ring true throughout their lives?

33 weeks.

This has been an amazing experience. I have absolutely loved being pregnant. Of course there were rough spots, but to have wanted and waited for so long, I have tried to enjoy every moment. I love feeling them move and try to imagine their personalities already, just like every expecting momma. Adam and Clara have been so supportive, patient and helpful throughout. I know I will miss being pregnant, but we are so excited to have them here with us. Life is going to be pretty hectic around here, but we couldn't imagine it any other way!

Clara's 3rd Birthday

This year for Clara's birthday, we decided to throw a 'double party' with Kailey.

Utah/Idaho Trip

Our big trip to Utah and Idaho. July 2010!!

One of the first stops in Utah was at Hogle Zoo with

Wendy, Caleb, Gracie, Joshie and Esther.

We're making it a tradition!

The last few years, they have held a camp-out in Gramie and Grampie's backyard. This year they held it on the 4th of July so we could join them!

Complete with yummy food, fireworks, stargazing, and of couse, tents!

Adam and I were able to go to the 'Stars on Ice' performance here in Seattle. It was pretty cool! Here we are with Evan Lysacek. He had just finished up with Dancing With the Stars, so we felt like we knew him like family! (heehee)

Baby Emily's Shower!!

I had the opportunity to throw a Baby Shower for my sister, Kristen. It was so fun to plan and prepare! We were so excited for this new little addition!

We had visions of this wonderful outside garden-setting shower, but everything we wanted was booked already!! So, what do most Mormons do? Hold it at the church! It still turned out cute!

All four of us lived in the 'Covey Hill House' together for just a short 6 or 8 months. We had a blast and created friendships that will last forever! This is our version of a 'pregnancy progression photo shot'!

Grandma Fell

My sweet Grandma Fell passed away this last April. It's hard losing loved ones, but I believe she is now with her husband, her sweet boy who she lost when he was 2, and other loved ones gone before.

I have so many wonderful memories of my Grandma. Most of when I was younger. I would spend many Friday nights over at her house to help Grandpa mow theirs and the neighbor's lawn. We would stay up late painting our nails, looking at old her old clothes and jewlery, and giggle all night long. We would sometimes play card games, draw or just sit and visit (our favorite!)

Hawaii!!

A much needed vacation! We were able to go to Hawaii

with some of Adam's family to celebrate

Alan and Joan's 40th wedding anniversary.

We had a fabulous time, and can't wait to go again!

This sums it up.... beach, beach and more beach.

Clara still asks if we can go to the beach in Hawaii almost everyday.

She loved playing in the sand- she could dig for hours.

She was a great traveler! Very patient and easy-going.

Young Women Sleep Over!

We had the Young Women group from church spend the night in December. We had a blast! We watched a movie, played games and laughed all night!

They decided to have a contest to see who could stay up the latest.

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving in Seattle this year! We had our good friends, the Bennetts, and Carl Johnson over for dinner. I wish I had pictures of everyone, but I was too busy cooking dinner- and yes, it was the traditional Thanksgiving with all the fixin's. Clara loved 'running around' with Dallin, Josh, and Brad, and us adults enjoyed eating, visiting and relaxing. We had a great time!

For a few years, I have been wanting an electric knife. Adam was on the hunt high and low but always came up empty handed. Seriously- Crate and Barrel, Bed Bath and Beyond, JC Penney, we looked EVERYWHERE. Williams Sanoma told us they didn't exist anymore! Word got around that we were looking for one, and our dear family The Quiggles found one in San Diego. Here it is! I love it! Thanks Adam and thanks Marianne and Richard!

Adam's parents visited in the middle of October.

I'm sorry to say I only have a few pictures of their visit.

We all konked out watching TV late one night, and I woke up to this.

I love it. A great night of relaxing, cuddling up and watching a great movie together!

Grammy got Clara to fall asleep in her arms!

This NEVER happens for Mom and Dad. Grammy must have the magic touch!

October was full of visitors! I was so excited to have my grandma, my mom and my sister come out for a few days! What a great thing to have us girls together! This was the first big trip since my Mom's bout with cancer, Grandma is 84, and Kristen is prego! They all made a sacrifice to come visit- we hope it was well worth it!

We went on an Argosy cruise around Puget Sound.

We had to bundle up a bit, but it was fun!

We got to go through the Ballard Locks, and see the 'Sleepless in Seattle' house.

And, yes, an ipod does come in handy once in a while,

but after 2 hours on a boat in the wind, I thought she deserved it!

In September, Clara's cousin came to visit. Oh, and he brought his mom and dad- April and Guillermo. We had so much fun with our family here! Little Liam is such a cutie- we love having these guys around!

We took the kids to a beach park in Bellevue.

April and I both gave up and stripped the kids down to their diapers.

They loved the water! They chased a duck, played in the sand and played on the toys!

That caption is for all of us who love How I Met Your Mother. These pictures are from a recent trip to the mall in Bellevue where they have a great playing area for the kiddos. I wanted to post them because while we were there, I remembered the other times we had been there. When she was just crawling.... then when she was just walking and couldn't pull herself up on the toys.... I wondered if she would ever get big enough to play on them (it seemed so far away back then) Now she's climbing up to the highest point without fear. It was just one of those Mommy Moments for me. I have so much fun with her everyday.... I can't believe how fast she's growing.

I finally broke down and bought a beanie and I LOVE IT! She is too cute!

Summer 2009

We're skipping 4th of July pictures and jumping to August because our old harddrive is toast. AGHH! After a small panic attack, we learned that there is a way to retrieve all of our data (pictures and videos) but it will cost an arm and a leg. So for now, we move on. I will have to post those pictures when we get them because they really turned out cute.

So, here's August! We went on a long trip to (where else?) Idaho and Utah to be with family and friends. It was a little crazy: during our 2 weeks, Adam had to be in Dallas for work 2 different spans of 4 days. I think we put a million miles on the car and on the airlines, but we had a great time making fun memories.

First stop- BOISE

Here are some pictures of Covey Hill. It has been a rental of ours for about 4 years. We've finally decided that it is time to sell! We had wonderful help fixing it up and getting it ready. We've done a new cosmetic remodel throughout. It's sad to see it go (this is what we've always dreamed it looking like- too bad we can't enjoy it!). The first part of our trip was to clean, clean, clean and get it ready for that potential buyer. It took some serious elbow grease,

(it's 30+ years old!) but we think it's paid off!

IDAHO FALLS

When we visited Idaho Falls, my mom was getting ready for school to start. Clara and I helped with a few things in the library at Discovery. It was fun spending that time with Grandma! Here are some pictures of Clara helping out the best way she knows how!

BEAR LAKE

Now on to our yearly trip to Bear Lake. This is the first year we rented a big house for everyone to stay in together. It actually turned out great!

We had a blast!

The kids loved playing together, the parents got to watch movies, and the moms even got a little scrapbook/craft time.

Colorado!

In June, we were invited to Colorado with the Cummings family.

They own a great cabin just outside of Telluride where we hiked,

went horseback riding, and had a ton of fun!

Greg, Tonya, Taryn, Tobi and Tatum showed us a wonderful time,

and it was great to get to know them better!

Mothers Day Weekend

We had so much fun over Mothers Day Weekend, I just had to post. Clara and I were able to join Adam on a quick flight to Friday Harbor on San Juan. The flight was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and Clara was a great traveler!

We walked around downtown, stopped for lunch, then headed home. This tree was like a HUGE umbrella that covered the whole patio leading into this business. It is over 100 years old!

Family Visits!

We have had such a great time with family over the past few months. Because of the funerals of my Grandpas, we were able to meet up with family that we haven't seen in a really long time. We also had Adam's brother, Aaron, and his family up to visit for a week, and then we followed them back down to Utah. We can never get enough 'family time'! Here are some pictures of the time we spent with Aaron, Wendy and their 4 wonderful kids:

We stayed a few nights in a cute little cabin at Lakedale. It was great for the kids, with lots to do and see. We loved s'mores around the campfire, then we all watched a movie before it was off to bed!

Loved Ones Passed

During these past few months, I had to say goodbye to my two Grandpas. It was so heartbreaking to experience this, but such a testimony to Eternal Families. Because of the Priesthood Keys here on the earth that can seal families forever, we know that we will see our Grandpas again someday. And their journey to the next life was accompanied by their parents, siblings and loved ones before them.

The New House

Things have been so crazy since Christmas! Part of the madness has been moving into a new home (new to us!) We love it! We now have a back yard to plant flowers, have BBQs, and run around in. We have great neighbors, and we're looking forward to the warmer months!

One of great things about the new neighborhood is that there is a huge park just three blocks away! Clara loves it! You can bet you will see more pictures like these! Our good friend, Katie, let us borrow this cute little jacket. Any flight jacket fits in great in this family!

Halloween

I am so sad to say we only have one picture of Clara's Halloween costume. Plenty of video, but only one picture. This is it. The only word she could say at the time, other than 'Mom' and 'Dad', was 'Nanna' her favorite food. Hence, the Banana costume. The highlight of her night? Standing at the door, handing out candy to the neighborhood kids with Dad.

Thursday Crowd

We love 'The Office' (who doesn't?) and for the better part of 2 years, we spent most Thursday nights with our friends Jonathan and Sarah, and James and Minhui. Even though we eventually moved 30 minutes away from eachother, we still managed to meet up for dinner and our favorite Thursday night TV. Sad to say that Jonathan, Sarah and Little Laura moved to California, and James and Min are on a trip around the world for the next 8 months- well deserved to a recent PhD (way to go Min!!)

In October, Jonathan and Sarah visited from California to make applesauce. THE BEST applesauce ever! We made a huge mess, and had lots of fun! James and Min came over, and so did Aubrey, Paul, Ava and Max! I wish you could see the clock in these pictures. It says 12:16 (am!)

Lunch date! Spontaneity is the mother of all invention! Who knew that sandwich shops don't have utensils? I actually like the idea of eating applesauce with a straw- a lot less messy and much quicker!

Clara's first Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Clara! Her birthday was yesterday, August 10th. We can't believe that it's been a year. Time really does go faster when you have kids. With her birthday on a Sunday, she wore her new dress, and we had a few good friends over for cake and ice cream.

On our last night in Idaho, Clara fell and hurt her little arm. She was wrapped up in a sling for the next week. Our family wanted to see pictures of her with her little cast on. I know this is the first of MANY owies yet to come. What a cutie!

She's finally here!

Clara Jane Tibbitts was born on August 10, 2007 at 5:41 pm. She finally arrived after my last day of work, 14 hours of labor, and not until her Grandma finally set foot in Overlake Hospital (after a long, crazy day of traveling). Adam and I just lover being her parents! As most of you know, this is an incredible experience. We both have waited so long for this, that we are truly trying to savor every moment.
