Summer 2009

We're skipping 4th of July pictures and jumping to August because our old harddrive is toast. AGHH! After a small panic attack, we learned that there is a way to retrieve all of our data (pictures and videos) but it will cost an arm and a leg. So for now, we move on. I will have to post those pictures when we get them because they really turned out cute.

So, here's August! We went on a long trip to (where else?) Idaho and Utah to be with family and friends. It was a little crazy: during our 2 weeks, Adam had to be in Dallas for work 2 different spans of 4 days. I think we put a million miles on the car and on the airlines, but we had a great time making fun memories.

First stop- BOISE

Here are some pictures of Covey Hill. It has been a rental of ours for about 4 years. We've finally decided that it is time to sell! We had wonderful help fixing it up and getting it ready. We've done a new cosmetic remodel throughout. It's sad to see it go (this is what we've always dreamed it looking like- too bad we can't enjoy it!). The first part of our trip was to clean, clean, clean and get it ready for that potential buyer. It took some serious elbow grease,
(it's 30+ years old!) but we think it's paid off!

IDAHO FALLS

When we visited Idaho Falls, my mom was getting ready for school to start. Clara and I helped with a few things in the library at Discovery. It was fun spending that time with Grandma! Here are some pictures of Clara helping out the best way she knows how!

Grandma Bonnie taught us her raspberry huckleberry jam recipe!
The best ever! It's so fun to learn from her,
and I think of new things I need to learn every time we visit!

We had a nice visit with Grandma Connie

We took every chance we could get to be together. Here is Trent, Rachel, Lacie (Brandon showed up later, and Grandma Bonnie too!)
and Grandma and Grandpa!

BEAR LAKE

Now on to our yearly trip to Bear Lake. This is the first year we rented a big house for everyone to stay in together. It actually turned out great!
We had a blast!
The kids loved playing together, the parents got to watch movies, and the moms even got a little scrapbook/craft time.

Happy Birthday Clara and Liam!
Clara turned 2 on Aug 10th, and Cousin Liam turned 1 on Aug 15th.

Here Clara is with Joshua, Gracie, Adam, and Caleb.
Her cousins gave her a dolly and a stroller- she loves it!
I wish you could see little Ashton (right) better.
Amy and Chesley came up for our bday party with their twin boys
Ashton and Corey. I'm sad to say I don't have any pics of them on this trip!

Grampie has a bouncy house, and he'll blow it up just about anywhere!
He brought it to Bear Lake for the kids. They had a blast!

Grammie and Grampie taking it all in while in their new shade-camp chairs.

Clara and Liam ready for a walk!

ON THE BEACH!!

Grammie and Cousin Esther

Cousin Joshua

Clara napped on the tube. For 2 HOURS!!!

More fun on the beach!

ON THE BOAT!!!

Even though they may be hard to see, I had to post these pictures.
I love the faces!! They crack me up.
(click on each picture- they get bigger and easier to see)

Jamee & Clara, Joshua, Wendy & Esther.
We took it slow for the girls.... Joshie was BORED!

I love these next two shots! This is Caleb, Aaron, Joshie and Gracie.
The kids are too little to dump yet, but we had to speed things up a bit. These guys caught a little air. It was funny to watch Gracie, and the boys were just loving it!

Gracie looks a little worried here!

I love her hair here- it's like Pippi Longstocking! Now she's having fun!!

Jamee, April and Wendy.
I wish this would have turned out better on here.
The facial expressions are awesome!
We DID NOT want to get dumped. The water was cold, the wind was blowing, and the temp was maybe 70. We were screaming the whole time!

Clara and Adam joined Caleb and Gracie.
She loved going faster and over bumps!

I thought this was cute because it's obvious that it was a big enough bump to get Adam off the tube, but look at Clara's big, huge grin!!
